The fit-up growing line consists of 1 set of hydraulic fit-up rotator and 1 set of adjustable welding rotator. The wind tower body is fit-up and welded by this growing line system. The first section of tank is placed on the adjustable rotator, and the second is put on the fixed hydraulic fit-up rotator. After aligning the two sections, spot welding will be carried out by rotating the adjustable rotator. Manipulator will be used to help complete welding of inner and outer seams. By following the above method, the sections are gradually connected until the last section with flange is welded.
Detailed steps are as follows: 1. Put the section with flange on one set of rotator. 2. Put the second section on the fit-up rotator, and carry out spot welding by adjusting the fit-up rotator. 3. Use welding manipulator to carry out inner seam welding. 4. Move the adjustable rotator to pull the section backward. 5. Put the third section on the fit-up rotator. 6. Carry out spot welding by adjusting the fit-up rotator. 7. Use welding manipulator to carry out inner seam welding. 8. Move the adjustable rotator to pull the section backward. 9. Put the fourth section on the fit-up rotator. 10. Carry out spot welding by adjusting the fit-up rotator. 11. Use welding manipulator to carry out inner seam welding. Repeat the above steps until the last section with flange is fit up. 12. Use movable welding manipulator to finish all the outer seam welding operations.
